In keeping with the stated purpose of Society Building Blocks, Critically Thinking About Things That Change Society, this post to show a malignant cancer that’s eating away at the core morals of our society. Our cultural and societal norms have been in place for a reason and now there is a relatively new challenge to the status quo of these moral norms that is clearly trying to undermine our cultural norms and morals. It’s a reflection of an already existing moral bankruptcy and a society that’s heading in that direction. This is NOT positive cultural progress, it’s negative cultural regression.
For quite some time, our society has had restrictions in place for what is considered to be appropriate material for children and young adults to access. Here is the most recent ratings used by the motion picture association…
Ratings such as these have historically reflected a basic human decency concept that our children and young adults shouldn’t be exposed to certain things until they’ve reach certain ages of maturity. These kinds of restrictions have been the status quo for many years and now it seems that this status quo is being directly challenged by hysterical fringe element identity groups in our society that appear to be trying to normalize that which is not considered normal.
In the recent past there have been hysterical accusations that Republicans across the USA are censoring and/or banning books and activities, but it’s an extrapolation to absurdity for political purposes, it’s pure partisan propaganda, and it’s simply not the truth. These immoral propagandists have smeared the laws in Texas, Florida, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Oklahoma, etc. (see graph below) There is anti-Republican propaganda all over the internet about these kinds laws trying to falsely portray Republicans as the equivalent to book burning Nazi’s. According to another blogger, in Missouri the American Civil Liberties Union of Missouri filed a lawsuit in Missouri and “the lawsuit was filed, and justly so, on behalf of the Missouri Association of School Librarians and the Missouri Library Association in an effort to overturn a state law passed in 2022 that bans sexually explicit material from schools.” (he did not provide a link to a source for that claim so here is one I found). Now I want you to notice something very interesting, did you catch the fact that the blogger believes that it’s “justly so” that they are fighting to allow “sexually explicit” material in schools which is directly counter to our cultural status quo that we’ve had for many years that historically reflected a basic human decency concept that our children and young adults shouldn’t be exposed to certain things until they’ve reach certain ages of maturity. That biased blogger is not the only one that thinks like that. What we are seeing is a patent rejection of morality and the status quo, in fact it seems to me that these people have a specific hatred of the status quo.
By the way; these Republicans are not censoring or banning books and activities, as in preventing them from the general public like the Nazi’s did, they are simply limiting access to specific books and activities in specific school libraries and school activities based on the basic human decency concept that our children and young adults shouldn’t be exposed to certain things until they’ve reach certain ages of maturity, just like the motion picture industry ratings concept. Still we continue to hear one false propaganda smear after another that seems to be rooted in advocating for specific fringe element identity groups. These abnormal identity groups are trying to normalize their life choices and behaviors by figuratively ramming their beliefs down the throat of society as being “normal” and indoctrinating our immature and impressionable youth to think the way the fringe thinks, like hive minded cults.
I suppose everyone want’s to consider themself as being “normal” and be accepted by those around them, but sometimes it’s simply absurd for society to consider that which is clearly an abnormal (by definition) behavior by a fringe element of society as being “normal”. Acceptance is not equivalent to being considered “normal”. Now don’t get me wrong; it’s fine to accept and/or tolerate the life choices and behaviors that these people make for themselves in their private lives, personally I don’t much give a damn what choices people make in their personal lives as it relates to sex or gender, but that doesn’t by any stretch of the imagination make their choices a society wide “normal” or that their choices should be actively promoted to immature children and young adults.
If society allows our moral rating system to be completely bastardized by fringe elements of society so they can intentionally indoctrinate our immature children and young adults with their writings and behaviors then why have a moral rating system for anything? Are we going to start allowing Playboy and similar magazines in K-12 school libraries, allow what has been rated as PG, PG-13, R, and NC-17 (previously X rating) movies to be shown in K-12 schools, or start allowing second and third graders to watch very sexually explicit movies like “Deep Throat” or “Debbie Does Dallas” in their classroom. The phrase “sexually explicit” is a self-evident phrase for rational thinking people, but sometimes these fringe identity groups simply can’t or won’t think rationally when they’re trying to promote their own behaviors, they seem to search out and find the fringes of reality and jump off into the abyss of absurdity.
Again; this bastardization of moral ratings is NOT a positive cultural progress taking place, it’s negative cultural regression destroying morality. If these kinds of intentional bastardizations of our moral standards by fringe identity groups are allowed then the direct and indirect influence of these fringe elements of our society will drive our society towards complete moral bankruptcy.
Either you stand up for the status quo of moral decency when it comes to our minor children or you remain apathetic or cower to identity groups thus allowing moral bankruptcy to prevail. The choices are yours to make.

Anywho, The Gotch doesn’t give a Phlyin’ Phuque what Life Choice you make, whether it’s falling face first into a Tackle Box, schtuppin’ hornets’ nests, identifying as…whatever, or pulling your pants off & walking around on your hands.
But when you come to him expecting to have those choices validated, we’re going to have a problem.
