How Cancel Culture Destroys Our Culture One Small Step At A Time

Cancel culture is a malignant cancer infecting our society. It can take otherwise moderately minded people and turn them into snarling anti-American cancel culture fools.

The Wisconsin Attorney General Josh Kaul finally got around to charging three of the Wisconsin 10 fake electors with one felony forgery count each. You can read the complaint here. Yes, after nearly four years and just before the next Presidential election they are just now getting around to charging these three individuals. Four years – seriously?

That’s not the issue I see regarding this, in fact I say let the chips fall where they may in court, they made their choices and the consequences are theirs if convicted. What I have a problem with is the fact that a self proclaimed moderate classic liberal is openly advocating that any of the attorneys that were involved in this be disbarred, period.

Dave Cieslewicz

In Dave Cieslewicz’s, who happens to be a former Mayor of Madison, blog post today titled Disbar the Fake Electors, Cieslewicz advocates setting aside classic American values like genuine due process to destroy lives and goes straight for the juggler complete with a few drops of self satisfying drool running slowing down his chin. Cieslewicz writes in his June 5th post…

“So, regardless of how this case proceeds, Troupis and Chesebro (the third defendant, Michael Roman, is not a lawyer) should be disbarred as should any of the remaining seven fake electors who are attorneys.”

That’s right folks, a self-proclaimed moderate classic liberal has already convicted these defendants (and possibly others) in his mind and wants to cancel them all before they’re even convicted of the crime they’re accused of, that is pure cancel culture persecution and anti-American. Cieslewicz would certainly not be considered an appropriate jury member for these trials.

Here is the comment I submitted that’s still in moderation and not likely to be posted…

It seems to me that Cieslewicz has set aside classic American values like due process in favor of hurting these attorneys as much as possible and here’s his own words that supports my opinion, “what would hurt them very much is to lose their ability to practice law”, “regardless of how this case proceeds”. Cieslewicz is clearly advocating to destroying their financial livelihood, their lives, even if they’re NOT convicted. How very moderate and classic liberal of Cieslewicz.

What kind of suppressed hate and bigotry causes a self-proclaimed moderate classic liberal to rationalize this kind of anti-American behavior and act this way? It’s absurd and immoral to persecute others this way in the United States of America.

Let me tell you, when a self-proclaimed classic moderate liberal goes straight over the precarious edge of moderation, flushes anti-American values in favor of pure persecution we should take heed, something is terribly wrong with the way people like this are reasoning, these kind of opinions are signature significant* and should not be taken lightly.

Here’s what Cieslewicz wrote about cancel culture back in March 2021 in his blog post Cancel Culture Is Real

“Cancel culture — intolerance for ideas — is a cancer eating at the core of society and democracy.”

Cieslewicz appears to be unaware that he’s a part of that “cancer eating at the core of society and democracy“.

After writing this anti-American cancel culture nonsense, Cieslewicz should really be ashamed of himself because it appears that he’s not self-aware enough to know his own tendencies to lean towards and promote the open persecution of others that is part of the cancel culture he appears to condemn.

Our society and culture are changing rapidly and it’s not in a good way.

No one, and The Gotch means NO_ONE, self-parodies with such shocking obliviousness as does despicable Lefty!

  2. This has me wondering if Cieslewicz is simply lonely these days and figures that if he doesn’t parrot woke ideology and maneuvering, his social calendar will remain blank. We’re talking Madison after all…

      1. The gem is hidden within satire Steve. I’m pointing out the wokeness of what Cieslewicz is doing. Cancel culture is part of woke culture. See, not off topic after all.

        1. Okay, but seriously dude, you’ve gotta be a little clearer in your initial comment so I can better connect the dots to know where you’re coming from and how it relates to what you’re replying to then I won’t end up asking those kind of annoying questions because I don’t get it.

          It’s all good. ;)

  3. Self-proclaimed is the correct word. He’s a legend in his own mind, fancies himself part of the intelligentsia.

    Dave writes:

“But it’s Democrats who are turning our nation into a banana republic?”

Yes, Dave, it is. Look at our borders, the undermining of due process, and the weaponization of our criminal justice system. YOU are part of the problem. You either lack self awareness or are dishonest.

  4. Steve, as you have previously written, the Leftist Progressives fervently believe that they are right -and therefore good- while anyone on the opposing side of the political spectrum (anywhere significantly to their right) is wrong -and therefore evil. In the hive mind, this justifies any means for those who are “righteous” to defeat those they categorize as evil. Unfortunately for them, it seems as though many of those they condemn (Deplorables, Bitter Clingers, MAGA Republicans, Christian Nationalists, etc.) are beginning to adopt the same dichotomy of good and evil, and the “by any means necessary” mindset when push comes to shove. Interesting times are likely to follow.
