Extreme progressives continue to go over the edge of reality in their efforts to get their way. Now they want to shift responsibility of gun thefts to the gun owner. Don’t believe me, read this blog post titled “Stolen Guns From Parked Cars At Homes Are National Concern, Largest Source Of Stolen Weapons“.

The absurd core argument presented is basically this;

Gun owners are not considered to be responsible members of society because criminals steal guns; therefore, all things related to guns, gun storage and access to guns should be strictly regulated by the government. The government should require that all guns are kept in lockable impenetrable theft prevention containers at all times, again, because criminals steal.

Here is the comment I submitted which the blog author is not likely to approve because it stringently disagrees with the core argument presented:

I can honestly ask; how far are these delusional extreme progressives willing to go to control every aspect of society because just there are a few bad apples?

A free democratic society cannot survive these kinds of morally bankrupt intrusions into our liberties.

  2. His arguments are poorly conceived and he’s condescending. Sounds like a typical leftist if you ask me. Unfortunately, I suspect he’s too full of himself to recognize it.

    These gun control fanatics are missing the forest for the trees. They’re either uninformed, fear-based, or naive about the history of disarming populations. In the case of the USA, the only method of disarmament available is slowly, gradually chipping away at gun rights by imposing more and more rules and regs. The culture needs a little fixin not gun laws, which aren’t consistently enforced anyway. More gun regulations will only make citizens more like fish-in-a-barrel, which is the whole point.

    You have submitted two comments but you have not followed the posted rule #12 (see below) in the Comment Policies for the blog and replied to the email I sent you, after you reply properly I’ll post your first comment but not your second comment that was complaining that I didn’t post your first comment.     1. Another note to commenter “In Wisconsin”…

      I just did a search and you replied to a verification email a long time ago, and your previous comment(s) back then were approved making you automatically approved for comments on my blog. I have absolutely no idea why WordPress flagged your comment as a new commenter again, maybe that was in their upgrade a couple of months ago that’s making users angry about posting comments, for example Batman’s comments are constantly sent to spam for no reason. I’ll have your comments up in a few minutes.
