Epidemic Levels Of Absurdities Are Infecting Our Society

Who would have thought back in the United States of America’s bicentennial celebration year of 1976 that in less than 50 years the solid foundation of morals, ethics, critical thinking, logic, common sense, liberty and the Constitution that the culture of the USA has been built upon would be flipped on its’ figurative head and undermined to the point of utter absurdity. I can hear the voice of my younger self in my head laughing and saying, “when pigs fly”, but yet here we are in the midst of an absurd social and cultural upheaval.

If what’s happening in our society was written as a book, it would be absurd like the dystopian social science fiction novel by George Orwell titled “Nineteen Eighty-Four”, but yet we still seem to have a huge swath of “We the People” unconsciously, or consciously, thinking “we gotta get us some of that totalitarianism utopia”; they simply can’t see the oncoming forest conflagration for the trees. What should we call this imaginary book on our 21^st century absurdities, how about we call it “Oh Shit, Now We’re Fucked”?

So what are some of the wide-spread absurdities that are plowing through our society wreaking havoc to our culture in their wake? Here are just a few:

• We have people roaming around our cities, like ANTIFA, actually acting like brown-shirt fascists and projecting their own moral failings on those they oppose; yes oblivious ignorant fascists are calling others fascists simply because they disagree with them, it’s absolutely absurd!
• The status quo has become the sworn enemy of perceived progress; therefore, ideologically consumed “progressives” are now completely anti status quo, it’s absolutely absurd!
• We have biological males wanting to be treated like females simply because they claim that they feel or want to be a female regardless of existing scientific biological facts, it’s absolutely absurd!
• We have biological females wanting to be treated like males simply because they claim that they feel or want to be a male regardless of existing scientific biological facts, it’s absolutely absurd!
• We have psychological snowflakes that are snowflaking hard because they are offended by damn near everything, it’s absolutely absurd!
• A huge swath of our society are pandering to irrational snowflakes, like this blithering idiot, and enabling their irrational behaviors thus allowing them to continue their hard snowflaking instead of socially correcting there ridiculous nonsense, it’s absolutely absurd!
• We have apocalyptic emotional propaganda being used to manipulate the public, it’s absolutely absurd!

  • Global Warming
  • Firearms
  • Racism
  • Abortion
  • Etc…
• We have snowflakes that are literally afraid and offended by what someone might say therefore they stomp all over the free speech rights of the speaker and publicly silence them, to hell with the concepts of civility and free speech, it’s absolutely absurd!
• We have corporations that are changing long term logos and marketing to pander to particular identity groups so they might head off the lunatic fringe elements of society that try to “cancel” anything they view as socially offensive, these corporations are cowards, it’s absolutely absurd!
• We have DC Comics that actually changed Superman’s motto to pander to the irrational social justice mob of snowflakes, it’s absolutely absurd!
• We have a revolving door justice system where District Attorney’s are turning felonies into misdemeanors and sending violent criminals back to the streets and on the flip side of that they’re trying to turn misdemeanors into felonies and weaponize the justice system for political reasons, it’s absolutely absurd!
• We have District Attorney’s using the immoral and unconstitutional “show me the man and I’ll show you the crime” witch hunt mentality to squash political opponents, it’s absolutely absurd!
• We have people in the United States Congress declaring that the accused are guilty until proven innocent, it’s absolutely absurd!
• We have people abusing their free speech rights to destroy the free speech rights of those they ideologically oppose, it’s absolutely absurd!
• We have people pushing society to accept as “normal” behaviors that which are literally by definition as being abnormal, it’s absolutely absurd!
• We have black people claiming that all whites are racists simply because they are white, it’s absolutely absurd!
• We have black people claiming that if you are not actively anti-racist then you are a racist, it’s absolutely absurd!
• We have a museum on the National Mall in Washington DC acting like a racist and made ridiculous claims about every day life like being on-time as if it’s White Culture, read that as white supremacy, it’s absolutely absurd!
• We have people that are claiming that white males are “the cause” of mass shootings, it’s absolutely absurd!
• We have people that think a statistic that is indistinguishable from 0%, yes averaged to zero percent, should dominate legislative decisions and the constitutional rights of 100% of society should be completely abolished, it’s absolutely absurd!
• We have people that think anyone that supports the 2^nd Amendment of the United States Constitution is an “unreasonable bat-crap crazy knuckledragger“, it’s absolutely absurd!
• We have people that think the Supreme Court of the United States is “illegitimate” and should be abolished simply because they disagree with a ruling, it’s absolutely absurd!
• We have people literally bastardizing the constitution to try and justify their anti-constitutional and anti-American behaviors and stances, it’s absolutely absurd!
• We have people that think that it’s perfectly fine to literally persecute those they ideologically disagree with, it’s absolutely absurd!
• We have a huge swath of the population that completely ignores the individual responsibilities and consequences regarding sexual intercourse and would rather just exterminate the unwanted, it’s absolutely absurd!
• We have people advocating to defund the police and yet complain about rising crime, it’s absolutely absurd!
• We have people making claims that anti-black systemic racism is running wild in our society but yet they can’t provide any real facts to support their claim, and furthermore, it’s racist to ask them for proof, it’s absolutely absurd!
• We have people challenging a law that bans sexually explicit materials from K-12 school libraries, it’s absolutely absurd!
• We have people that claim that you and I should share in the blame for the illegal and sometimes violent activities of criminals even if we have had absolutely no part in the criminal activity, it’s absolutely absurd!
• We have people claiming that if the USA completely stops using fossil fuels then we can stop the predicted global warming apocalypse even when the facts prove otherwise, it’s absolutely absurd!
• We have people claiming that we have to use electric vehicles to reverse global warming when the facts prove beyond a shadow of doubt that electric vehicles won’t do a damn thing to stop or reverse it, it’s absolutely absurd!
• We have partisan hacks saying that challenging the outcome of an election is anti-Democracy when they themselves have hypocritically challenged the outcome of elections, it’s absolutely absurd!
• We have people that want to strip parents of their parental authority over their children’s medical and psychological decisions and pass that authority over to the public school system, it’s absolutely absurd!
• We have people that actually judge historical figures based on today’s standards of morality while they completely ignore the moral standards of the time in which the historical figures actually lived then they try to erase them from history, it’s absolutely absurd!
• We have people that place unachievable social equity over constitutional and moral equality, it’s absolutely absurd!
• We have people that think the people currently alive in the USA should pay reparations to the descendants of slaves (or all black people) for the injustice actions of people that have been dead for a long long time, it’s absolutely absurd!
• We have people demanding justice for themselves while they try to destroy justice for those they oppose, it’s absolutely absurd!
• We have people that think that education should take a back seat to public indoctrination in public schools, it’s absolutely absurd!
• We have people that seem to think that the perceived special rights of a particular identity group trumps individual rights of others, it’s absolutely absurd!
• We have people that put their hate of the USA above all else, it’s absolutely absurd!
  • They literally hate (feel intense or passionate dislike for) the USA. Their absurd hysteria and hate is an obsession against the status quo. They hate that the 1st Amendment applies to everyone, they hate ethical journalism, they hate the concept of innocent until proven guilty, they hate the justice system and anyone or anything that supports it, they hate civility, they hate the police, they hate anyone that opposes their ideology, they hate a Constitution that dares to allow others to oppose their ideology, they hate that our basic freedoms and Liberty allow some people to make more money than others, they hate that those they oppose have any rights, they project a belief in rights for me but not for thee, they hate the fact that equal opportunity doesn’t equate to equal outcomes, they hate our system of education, they hate that all our history (both good and bad) make us what we are today, they hate the status quo, they hate, Hate, HATE. They are completely consumed by their hate and their hate has eaten their objectivity, critical thinking and common sense and it’s a malignant cancer eating away at our entire way of life.

We now live in an absolutely absurd society that would be unrecognizable to our forefathers, a place:

• Where some of the satire presented by the Babylon Bee becomes reality.
• Where some people are so sexually confused that they don’t know what heck they are.
• Where “it’s isn’t what it is” has become so common place in media and political propaganda that it’s seemingly “normal” now.
• Where the ends justifies the means as is core political tactic
• Where the irrational “progressive” extremes approve of any rhetoric as long as it condemns aspects of liberty and promotes totalitarianism.
• Where you’re socially punished and your life is destroyed simply because you’ve been accused.
• Where the fringe extreme elements of the population are running the asylum.
• Where individual responsibility is quaint.
• Where the law, which was once a dominate core of society, now takes a back seat to social justice cancellation.
• Where equity overrules all logic.
• Where common sense is dead.
• Where brainwashing propaganda is absorbed as factual truth even when the factual truth completely proves it wrong, it’s absurdly cultish.
• Where “do something” is thought to be a viable emotional argument that’s appropriate to use for all things.
• Where striping the rights of the majority because of the actions of a miniscule few who abuse those rights becomes socially acceptable.
• Where being silenced has become so ridiculously routine that it’s a joke worthy badge of honor, but it’s no joke, it’s real and it’s absurd.
• Where delusional thinking, obsessive behaviors and out right absurdities rule the roost and where critical thinking and logic is criticized and persecuted.
• Where thinking like an inexperienced and immature 7th grader garners more respect in the minds of social justice warriors than an experienced and logical mature adult.
• Where we’re judged by the color of our skin, not the content of our character.

A few random people engaging in any one of these things listed above by themself is nothing to really worry about because society has shown a history of self correction when it comes to not allowing the wacko fringe elements to influence the whole; however, when a huge cross-section of our society is actively engaging in most, if not all, of these behaviors, and more, it shows us that everything that makes the USA what it is, our very culture, is under a direct ideological and moral assault. People that are engaging in these behaviors are under some kind of delusion that what they’re doing is justified as “progress” when in fact it’s socially and culturally destructive.

Yes, I’ve been talking about this for a while, but seriously folks, what happened to us?

How the did we get here?

Was Charlotte Thomson Iserbyt right that the consolidation of public schools and dumbing down to the least common denominator in our public schools would be our downfall into the abyss of totalitarianism?

Do we have a generation or two or three where a majority of citizens are so civically ignorant and/or stupid, like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez appears to be, that they are willing to completely destroy the United States of America for the sake of their irrational totalitarian utopia obsessions?

The purpose of this blog is “Critically Thinking About Things That Change Society” and that is a rather dismal and depressing task these days. It’s getting harder and harder to be able to reasonably predict a positive outcome on the other end of this cultural upheaval, but what I’m relatively sure about is that our last effective non-violent barrier against totalitarianism and putting down this irrational cultural upheaval is going to be the courts and that’s only if we can keep the progressive activists out of the judges seats and DA’s offices.
