Wisconsin Supreme Court Race Turned Into A Political Circus

I’m so tired of the false narratives coming from the political left that surround the Supreme Court race in Wisconsin. One of the false narratives is that Musk is buying votes in the Supreme Court election, which is a bald-faced propaganda lie, yes it’s a LIE!

A south central Wisconsin blogger, Dave Cieslewicz, residing in the Madison, WI area (that community surrounded by reality) briefly touched on this in his latest blog essay titled Let’s Stop the Madness. I’ll let the comment I submitted to his blog post (he refuses to post my comments) speak for itself…

I completely agree with Cieslewicz that all the attack ads need to go away.

Back in January I submitted a Letter to the Editor for the local Madison, WI newspaper The Wisconsin State Journal titled Demand Civility From Wisconsin Supreme Court Candidates, it’s behind a pay wall so here’s the text…

Demand Civility From Wisconsin Supreme Court Candidates

I want a change.

I’d like to see Republican-backed candidate Judge Brad Schimel and Democrat-backed candidate Judge Susan Crawford talk civilly about the important issues as they run for the open Wisconsin Supreme Court seat. I’d like to see them highlight their differences without all the nastiness we’ve been seeing in high-court races in recent years. Wouldn’t that be a nice change?

We the people of Wisconsin need to find ways to inspire our candidates to keep their debate and ads civil. It’s very important to let these candidates know that you expect civility.

It would certainly help if political action committees would keep their nose out of making attack ads in this race. It also would help if the candidates would exert their position and tell their supporters to keep it civil.

Groups such as the Wisconsin Alliance For Civil Trust (wisact.org) might be able to help with this endeavor. But we the people really need to speak out and do things such as writing letters to the editor. We need to step up and do our part to inspire candidates to be civil.

If you want real change, the change must begin in you.

It’s become really clear to me that that letter to the editor was futile and the race for the opening seat on the Wisconsin Supreme Court turned into a political propaganda narrative free-for-all. There are those out there that openly state that “it’s never too early to go negative in a campaign” but doing so makes the entire campaign look like a demonizing circus. Does it really come down to the candidate that slings the most shit earliest in the campaign, can make that shit stick to the walls, and can maintain that shit slinging throughout the campaign is the candidate that wins? I’m sick of the shit.

At least there was a debate where the people of Wisconsin could hear directly from the candidates. If you don’t want to watch the whole hour debate, at the very least watch the closing arguments. You can watch the debate here…

My opinion is that with relatively few statements to the contrary, Brad Schimel spoke like a real professional and a Supreme Court Justice sticking to facts and logic and Susan Crawford for the most part spoke like a political activist and went full emotional attack dog during the second half of the debate with some subtle and not so subtle leftist propaganda narratives. Don’t get me wrong, Crawford did have moments of professionalism throughout but her moments of propaganda attack narratives far outweighed her professionalism.

I was absolutely stunned (I’m completely serious, my jaw was hanging open) when Crawford in an unprofessional manner openly repeated the exact same false propaganda attack dog narratives in her closing remarks (57:03 in the video) that she’s been presenting in her TV ads and she did this immediately after Schimel had rhetorically stripped the foundations out from under those false narratives with actual facts in the 60 minute debate. Schimel’s closing remarks were completely professional and stuck to why voters should vote for him not why voters should vote against his opponent. It really became clear to me that Crawford is a progressive political hack, she acts like a politician not a Supreme Court Justice, and her morally bankrupt attack dog demonizing of her opponent reflects her lack of character and integrity and I think she will be an activist judge. She has shown us that she’ll lie and/or misrepresent her way onto the Supreme Court if gullible voters allow it. Crawford is the epitome of the left’s go-to tactic “the ends justifies the means” and she wants to be on the Supreme Court, I don’t trust her and I say HELL NO!!!!!!!

Keep the Wisconsin Supreme Court free of activist judges, vote for Brad Schimel.

  1. The lovely and long suffering Mrs. Gotch, and the husband who adores her, comment often (during and after those pathetic ads are aired) that your best laid hopes proposed in those two (2) LTEs were dashed.
