HTML Format Tags

This is some basic instructions on how to use HTML tags to format your text in comments you post across the internet.

Please note; not all of these HTML tags work all of the time in all comments submitted. For instance some of the blogs I post on the Underline and the Strikethrough never work.

TEXT FORMATS
<b>Bold</b> = Bold
<i>Italics</i> = Italics
<u>Underlined</u> = Underlined
<strike>Strikethrough</strike> = Strikethrough

LINK FORMAT
Basic Syntax = <a href=””></a>
Plug In Required Information = <a href=”https://stevewitherspoon.home.blog/2024/06/01/are-we-the-people-irretrievably-broken/”>Are “We the People” Irretrievably Broken?</a>
Display’s = Are “We the People” Irretrievably Broken?

BLOCKQUOTE
<blockquote></blockquote> = Text that is contained in an offset box.

This is a screen shot of how the blockquote HTML tag looks in WordPress Reader…

Here is a screen shot of the exact same blockquote comment viewed on a regular HTML blog.

The raw HTML text that made the above comment look like that is as follows…

I’ll add more instructions if needed.
