Please Steer Me Towards Hope

I’ve been pointing out things are rapidly changing our society and culture since I started this blog a few years ago and I think we’re about to reach a point where no one will be able to deny that the foundations that have supported our society and culture for nearly 250 years have all been undermined so badly that we are reaching a point of no return.

Personally, my hope for a common sense solutions to what ails the USA are all but gone. I think we’re way too deep in the murk of a bureaucracy/progressive dominated society & culture that leans very heavily towards woke totalitarianism to shift back to a Liberty dominated culture that’s inspired by the Constitution, freedom and individual rights and the 2024 presidential election is not going to help. In fact I’ve been saying for a while now…

“Based on observed cultural, societal and political patterns, I see the 2024 election as being a societal and cultural disaster for the United States of America. No matter who is elected, the reactions are going to be bad, and they’re likely to be very bad.”

This is very dangerous!

I’m dead serious! It’s not the common moderate law abiding citizens I’m worried about, it’s the political extreme activists types that are the problem. There are obvious patterns of reactionary behaviors from the political extremes that have been clearly evident since 2016. What do you honestly think anti-Trump extremists are going to do across the USA if Trump happens to get elected in November 2024; on the flip side of that, what do you think the extremist MAGA Trump supporters are going to do if Trump doesn’t get elected in November 2024? Does anyone honestly think that with the extreme tribal divisions we see across the USA and the evident vengeance is mine behaviors these days that all the hateful political activists are just going to walk away from their demonization, hate and mistrust and think “well rats that didn’t go the way we had hoped” and/or “the people have spoken” and wander back to their homes and jobs and move on with their lives as if the election never happened?

We are rapidly reaching the precipice of hate inspired political violence & outright political persecution in the USA and that will slide us down a greased up slippery slope directly into violent civil unrest. The fever pitched political rhetoric is undermining civility and in some cases it’s rationalizing potential political violence. We can’t have people out there on both sides of the political aisle believing with their whole being that the opposition is evil because you end up with this kind of absolutism mentality…

I’m going to say this with all honesty, fear is already in place in the United States and people are retreating and isolating themselves in their world hoping and praying that they don’t accidently piss off the wrong irrational mob. There are people I personally know around the USA that have completely succumbed to fear and won’t say anything to the progressive extremists for fear of what they’ll do to them and their families and the exact same thing can be said of the MAGA extremists. We are done as a freedom loving nation that values liberty if fear prevents those with common sense to stand up against those they oppose. These extremists have our country by the balls and they’re squeezing the life out of it.

Fear and apocalyptic propaganda has infected almost every aspect of our society and culture right down to the labeling of consumer products and people questioning the words that come out of their mouths so we don’t offend some irrational psychological snowflake. All this propaganda is destroying the foundations of the culture that the United States of America is built upon. Apocalyptic styled propaganda has been intentionally dumped in our faces for decades by activists that have corrupted a willfully unethical media that seems hell bent on creating more and more hysteria to pad their profits.

“The media’s the most powerful entity on earth. They have the power to make the innocent guilty and to make the guilty innocent, and that’s power. Because they control the minds of the masses.” Malcolm X

Ethical journalism is a thing of the past and the media is now fully engaging in political activist journalism. This can’t continue or the fourth estate will be effectively gone and “We the People” will no longer be able to get the actual truth about anything, we may already be at this point.

Here is just a few of the major topics (in no particular order) where apocalyptic propaganda has been used as wedge points to manipulate and divide the public over the past few decades:

  1. Climate Change
  2. COVID
  3. Firearms
  4. Police
  5. Racism
  6. Gender
  7. Abortion
  8. Free Speech
  9. Equality
  10. Equity
  11. Justice
  12. History
  13. Marriage
  14. Education
  15. Individualism
  16. Religion
  17. Parental Rights
  18. Books
  19. Election Integrity
  20. Status Quo

It’s time to face the facts staring us in the face; our entire culture is under assault, there really is an ongoing culture war, the media and politicians are stoking the flames of civil unrest, and fear has taken hold of our society.

I honestly don’t know anyone that truly thinks the 2024 Presidential election is going to actually solve any of our societal, cultural and political problems but instead make the problems far, far worse but we move forward as we always have hoping that our individual vote is the pebble in the pond.

I respect the pebble in the pond choice even when the pebble is being dropped in a body of water that’s currently undergoing hurricane force winds. What we see in the 21st century is that hurricane force winds is exactly what our culture is facing with this culture war and it really is beginning to seem quite futile to try and counter the irrational hordes with intelligent and logical arguments.

Where’s the hope for a better tomorrow that we once shared in our society? Please steer me towards hope if you can.

Is Our Liberty Already Dead?

  1. Steve,
I doubt this will steer you towards hope, but YouTube is filled with alternative voices and counter arguments to the legacy news propaganda. Bari Weiss is but one example among many others, and there are other platforms where free speech still prevails. More and more people are waking up to the insidious destructive cancer of wokeism.

The Gotch has to go along with the Caped Crusader; despicable Lefty has predictably, with epically breathtaking hubris, over-played their hand.

Weiss above, the $#!tcanning of Gay, McPhail, and (heh!) Brinton, Hahvahd (et al) donors flipping DIE off, faculty/administrators getting their t!ts in a ringer, the Willis-Wade debacle, DementiaJoKe’s plummeting poll numbers, and many, many more waiting for the cleansing light of day.

There’s a sense that the pendulum has shifted….& The Gotch is diggin’ it!

  2. If the government continues its current practices of woke ineptitude, there won’t have to be a government takeover; it will fall of its own incompetent weight. We will just have to pick up the pieces.
I believe the folks trying to tear down the country will rue the day when the “quiet Americans” decide they have had enough, and I believe that day is coming soon.
Atlas hasn’t shrugged yet, but his shoulders are twitching.
Buy canned goods, Band-Aids and bullets. Carry every day. Watch your six.

  3. Steve wrote over at EA, “Back when I started my blog Society’s Building Blocks, lotta good that’s effort has done – hardly anyone reads the damn thing,…”

Well, I read all your posts but that in and of itself doesn’t make that statement false. But I’m sure the few people that do read your blog come away with a better insight to what is happening in our society today. I’m just not a person who likes to comment a lot; I enjoy reading the posts here and elsewhere, like EA, but I just never liked to write. My thoughts don’t seem much different than others that comment and they usually say it much better than I can.

I think your posts are valuable even if they don’t reach the total numbers you’d like to see.

    1. Thanks Edward.

I’m not much into the basic numbers except for the simple facts they tell me, what’s more important is that others think the content is significant enough to share with others and that’s extremely rare and that’s probably because I’m a bit more in-your-face than people are willing to openly share to keep their own social media outlets a bit more civil. Don’t want to rock the boats and I get it. It’s also extremely rare that anyone clicks on a link to my blog that I share via other social media outlets.

Is this societal & cultural stuff really that boring?
