“We The People” Power

Politicians won’t tell you that they cannot fix the economy because it will make them look weak and ineffective, guess what, the politicians have already proven that! The fact is that anything the government does to “fix” the economy just seems to screw it up further or screw something else up. I thought the politicians were supposed to be the leaders??? Politicians cannot fix the economy but “We the People” can!

“Made in the USA” is what will fix the economy in this country.

If every single person in the USA started looking at the labels of the items they purchase and simply made the individual choice to purchase the products that are “Made in the USA” when ever possible then we, the people of the United States of America, could make the difference. If the product is not available as a “Made in the USA” product then ask the retailer to get products that are “Made in the USA” when ever possible. I will go as far as to say that if you just have to have what ever it is and it is currently made out of this country then consider trying to purchase it used and save your money for new items to go to those products that are “Made in the USA” where ever possible.

But Zoltar, there are people that can’t afford products that are “Made in the USA”. Don’t give me excuses and tell me that we cannot do it, I simply don’t believe it!

Here is where to start. If every family in the USA purchased just one less “Made OUT of the USA” item for every person in their house every month and chose to purchase that item as a “Made in the USA” item, that would be an increase of roughly 3,684,078,600 items per year (based on 2009 USA census) that are “Made in the USA”. Yes that is and 3.684+ BILLION increase per year and 307+ Million items per month of “Made in the USA” items! What exactly do you think an increase demand of 3.7 Billion “Made in the USA” products would do for our economy in one year? Now take that down the line of distribution and manufacturing in the USA; how many additional employees would it take to be able to increase production of “Made in the USA” items by 3.7 BILLION?? Think about it, REALLY think about it; one item for every person in your house per month could make a HUGE difference in our economy! Now take that concept to the next logical step, try it with a couple of items per person per month, get the idea?!?!

No one is saying that you can’t have your monster plasma 3D TV or your fancy foreign car/truck made “where ever” if that is just what you gotta have to keep up with the Jones’s, keep it simple at first and build on that simplicity as time goes on. Retailers, Distributors and Manufacturers will get the idea and start the flow of products to keep up with the demand. This will not happen overnight but it WILL make a gradual difference in the lives of everyone in the USA; watch the politicians, every single one of them will claim that it was their policy that made the difference; DUH!

Things to remember:

Purchase your items in this order; Local, City, State, Regional, National, Internationally only if NOT available at other levels. Request that the retailers you purchase from get items that are “Made in the USA” or you will search for retailers that will.

All it would take is one politician (preferably the President) to throw partisanship out the window and tell us where the bear shits in the woods. “Made in the USA” is what will fix the economy and create jobs – NOTHING the government can do will work better than that!

STOP expecting the politicians to fix something that is OUR fault and OUR problem to fix! We the People have the power to demand that we purchase items that are “Made in the USA” and rebuild our economy to again be the leader in the world.

Suck it up and do what is right, purchase “Made in the USA”.
